KATHMANDU: Basant Kumar Chaudhary, Honorary Consul-General of Morocco, took over as the new Dean of Honorary Consular Corps of Nepal (HCCN).The deanship was handed over to Chaudhary by the outgoing Dean, Pradeep Kumar Shrestha, Honorary Consul of
South Africa, in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali. In his welcome address, the outgoing Dean Shrestha informed the Minister and the AGM participants about the accomplishments during his one-year tenure.
Chaudhary’s tenure as Dean will last till July 23, 2021. Dinesh Shrestha, Honorary Consul of Malta, was appointed as Vice-Dean at HCCN’s 13th AGM and Chartered Day.
